Apply for Membership

When you are eligible to join the Plan you will be provided with an information pack along with an application form.

All you need to do is complete this form and return it in the pre-paid envelope also included in your information pack. If you want to start contributing as soon as you can, and take maximum advantage of the extra M&S contributions in the first year of eligibility, you need to return your completed application form at least six weeks before the first day of the month in which you will complete one year’s service. You can apply to join the Plan at a later date. But remember that if you join a year or more after you first become eligible, you will miss out on the potential extra M&S contributions of up to 24% of your pensionable salary. The Trustee reserves the right to ask for evidence of good health and to restrict certain benefits as a result. You will be told more about this if it applies to you.
